How to Get Help
You don’t have to face this on your own. If you are homeless, or worried about losing your home, there are two main ways to access support from FirmFoundation.
Option 1: Come to our drop-in
This is the main way people self-refer
You are welcome to come to one of our drop-in sessions to speak to a member of our team.
The drop-in gives you a chance to:
-
Talk through your situation in confidence
-
Ask questions and understand your options
-
Get clear, practical advice about next steps
You don’t need an appointment to attend.
Option 2: Referral through the council or another agency
You can also be referred to us by Harrow Council housing support services or by another professional, such as:
-
A housing officer
-
A support worker
-
A GP or healthcare professional
-
Another charity or organisation
Referrals help us understand your situation and assess what support may be available.
What happens next
After meeting you at a drop-in or receiving a referral, our team will:
-
Carefully review your situation
-
Talk with you about your needs and circumstances
-
Explain what support may be available and what happens next
Depending on your situation and availability, support may include emergency night shelter, supported accommodation, or ongoing practical help.
